Attendance and Punctuality

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the efficient operation of CFTS.CO (U) Ltd. Employees are expected to report for work as scheduled and to notify management promptly if they are unable to attend.

Maintaining reliable attendance helps ensure that teams can work effectively and that services to clients are not disrupted.

What this means

Employees should arrive at their work location ready to begin duties at the scheduled start time of their shift.

If an employee is unable to attend work, management should be informed as early as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Attendance guidelines

The following practices apply to workplace attendance:

  • Employees should notify management at least one hour before the scheduled start of a shift if they are unable to attend work.
  • Employees are expected to be at their assigned work location and prepared to begin work at the scheduled start time.
  • If an absence due to illness or medical condition lasts more than one day, management may request a medical certificate or physician’s note confirming the illness.
  • If an employee is absent for five consecutive days without contacting management, the company may consider the employee to have voluntarily terminated their employment.

Possible actions

Absence from work that has not been approved in advance or properly communicated to management may be treated as unauthorized leave.

Excessive absenteeism or repeated lateness may result in disciplinary action in accordance with company procedures, up to and including termination of employment.
