CFTS is a Uganda-based ICT infrastructure, hosting, and support company. Since 1994, we have helped organisations design, build, protect, and operate technology systems that work in real operating conditions.

We specialise in practical, bespoke ICT infrastructure: systems designed around the client’s environment, not forced into a standard template.

The company began with hands-on ICT support: fixing problems, building reliable systems, and helping organisations make technology work where it was actually being used. That early work covered hardware, software, networks, data recovery, cabling, technical power, maintenance, and support. It shaped the way CFTS still works: understand the real problem first, then design the whole system around it.

As client needs grew, CFTS grew with them. Server rooms, structured cabling, secure networks, protected power, storage, backup, hosting, VoIP, connectivity, and managed support became connected parts of the same service. The work was rarely only one component. A network depended on cabling and power. A hosting decision depended on storage, backup, security, connectivity, and recovery. A support plan depended on documentation and people knowing how the pieces fit together.

In 2011, CFTS began building and operating its own managed hosting platform. That gave clients more control over performance, data location, support, and long-term service design. The platform has since developed into a hybrid Uganda and UK infrastructure model, with local edge capability in Kampala and international hosting options where they fit the requirement.

Today CFTS remains deliberately practical. We are not trying to be a hyperscale cloud provider or a volume-only hosting company. We focus on engineering-led ICT infrastructure for organisations that need systems to be reliable, understandable, and supportable in real conditions.

## How We Work

Our approach is simple:

- understand the requirement properly
- look at the system as a whole
- account for power, cooling, network, data, security, backup, support, and people
- document boundaries clearly
- support clients with engineers who know how the pieces fit together

## Where We Are Now

CFTS now works across infrastructure design, hosting, cloud, edge services, storage, backup, data protection, recovery, structured cabling, technical power, security, VoIP, connectivity, and managed support.

Much of this work is shaped by the real operating conditions found in Uganda and across East Africa. Power, heat, connectivity, site access, logistics, component quality, and support availability are not background issues. They are part of the design from the beginning.

Over time, CFTS has also developed more of its own platform, tools, and internal systems. This reduces dependency on third-party services and allows us to deliver solutions that are better matched to each client’s environment, rather than forcing clients into standard off-the-shelf options.

A good example is our customer control panel, which already provides out-of-band control for virtual machines, VPS services, and bare metal systems. The same engineering approach also supports tools such as isp-status and our in-house asset, stock, and warehouse management system, which is being developed further as part of a more integrated, multi-agent operational platform.

The goal is simple: give clients a smoother, more connected experience, backed by systems we understand, control, and can support properly.

The tools have changed since 1994, but the direction has not. CFTS continues to build ICT systems that work in real conditions, explain them clearly, and support clients when those systems matter.
